nu.wav
I co-founded nu.wav with some of my amazing friends in 2020. We’re an NYC-based sound design house crafting forward-thinking, industry-friendly samples. You can find our packs on Splice and on our website. In particular, check out No Boys Allowed, a collaborative pack featuring ~20 womxn & nonbinary producers fundraising for Beats By Girlz.
Additional Splice Projects
You can also check out my Splice Originals pack Soul Jazz With Bryn Bliska, which was recorded at Red Bull NYC and hit the top 10 of the Splice charts in 2020.
As part of the inaugural Splice Creator Class, I co-produced a pack called Abstract Soul with the incredible Simen Sez which features a lot of my keys and vocals.
For International Womxn’s Month 2021, I contributed to Women Make Waves, a vocal pack featuring over 30 incredible female-identifying & nonbinary artists, with proceeds going to The Creator’s Suite.
Tools
Nord Stage 4 Signature Soundbank
I had the honor of creating a signature soundbank for the Nord Stage 4, available for download here! More content of me playing with these sounds can be found on Nord’s YouTube as well.
Reason Preset Design
I design preset packs for Reason+ and Reason Devices! Check out the breakdown of the first pack I did on their YouTube, and also a quick blog breaking down a patch I designed for their latest FM Synth! I also teamed up with Reason and the amazing David Bennett to play the first-ever game of chord ping pong in celebration of their midi device Chord Sequencer.
Softube Vocoder Creative Production
Check out this piece I did for Softube Studios on creative ways to use vocoding in music production!
Softube Model 77 Demo
Here’s another video I did for Softube Studios on the features of their wonderful Model 77 softsynth.
Roland J-6 Chord Synthesizer
I had the pleasure of designing chord sets for Roland’s J-6 Chord Synthesizer from their AIRA Compact series of instruments. This was my first work for a hardware device, and this keyboard really packs an inspirational punch!
Tempo Toy
While at the MIT Media Lab, I collaborated with fellow research assistant Charles Holbrow to design a method for composing dynamic polytempic computer music and develop a Max/MSP-based software implementation, Tempo Toy. Read on in our manuscript and listen to the example piece I composed!
